Sing a Song

Squirrel, Squirrel

Squirrel, Squirrel, Shake your bushy tail.
Squirrel, Squirrel, Shake your bushy tail.
Wrinkle up your little nose, And hold a nut between your toes.
Squirrel, Squirrel, Shake your bushy tail.

Try This

Make “acorns!” For a yummy treat that looks like something a squirrel would eat, take a drop shaped candy, stick a cookie on top (secure with frosting or peanut butter) and add a small chip on the top of the cookie.

Read a Book

Here are some book recommendations for today. Check out the picture book collection at your local library, where there are lots of books to choose from! Find nearby libraries.

  • Acorn Was a Little Wild by Jen Arena; illustrated by Jessica Gibson
  • Little Squirrel by Britta Teckentrup
  • The Squirrel's Busy Year by Martin Jenkins
