Sing a Song

Flowers

Flowers tall,
(fingers up)
Flowers small,
(fingers down)
Count them one by one,
1,2,3,4,5,
(touch as you count)
Blowing with the breezes,
(sway side to side)
In the springtime sun!
(arms above head in circle)

Watch

18 Flowers

Try This

Help your child pretend you are both seeds. Kneel or squat and tuck your head and arms into the smallest possible shape. Then gradually lift up your head, put out your arms with fingers spread, and stand up straight to grow into flowers!

Read a Book

Here are some book recommendations for today. Check out the picture book collection at your local library, where there are lots of books to choose from! Find nearby libraries.

  • Bloom by Deborah Diesen; pictures by Mary Lundquist
  • Plant the Tiny Seed by Christie Matheson
