Try This

Set up a pretend kitchen and "cook" a special meal with your child. Talk about keeping things clean and washing your hands, as well as gathering ingredients and reading recipes. Do you want to make pretend versions of everyday foods, or crazy made-up foods with imaginative ingredients? Maybe both!

Read a Book

Here are some book recommendations for today. Check out the picture book collection at your local library, where there are lots of books to choose from! Find nearby libraries.

  • Can You Eat? by Joshua David Stein; illustrated by Julia Rothman
  • Pete's a Pizza by William Steig
