December 8

Today's activities are Hanukkah-themed. According to World Book, Hanukkah is an annual Jewish holiday that begins in November or December and lasts for eight days. It commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem in 165 B.C.E. With your child, look up when Hanukkah takes place this year and next year.

Sing a Song

Dreidel Song

I have a little dreidel.
I made it out of clay.
And when it's dry and ready,
then dreidel I shall play.
Oh dreidel, dreidel, dreidel,
I made it out of clay.
Oh dreidel, dreidel, dreidel,
then dreidel I shall play
