March 22

Today's activities are Easter-themed. According to World Book, Easter is the most important Christian festival of the year, celebrating the return to life of Jesus Christ after His Crucifixion. Most Christians observe Easter on the first Sunday, after the first full moon, after the first day of spring, which can be any Sunday between March 22 and April 25. With your child, look up when Easter takes place this year and next year.

Sing a Song

Here comes Peter Cottontail

Here comes Peter Cottontail
Hoppin' down the bunny trail
Hippity hoppin', Easter's on its way
Bringin' every girl and boy
Baskets full of Easter joy
Things to make your
Easter bright and gay
He's got jelly beans for Tommy
Colored eggs for sister Sue
There's an orchid for your mommy
And an Easter bonnet too
Oh! here comes Peter Cottontail
Hoppin' down the bunny trail
Hippity hoppity, happy Easter Day
Here comes Peter Cottontail
Hoppin' down the bunny trail
Hippity hoppin', Easter's on its way
